Why We Exist: The Story Behind MMHM

We didn’t build MMHM as a fashion brand. We built it because we were struggling—and we knew we weren’t alone.

I’m Tim, one half of the brothers behind MMHM. At 22, I was kicked out of the Royal Navy. It ripped my life apart. Since then, I’ve battled anxiety, mental health issues, and self-destructive habits that nearly swallowed me whole. I’ve recently gone through the breakup of my family and now live alone, only seeing my daughters a few days a week. That part hurts the most. But I’m trying to rebuild. I’m trying to be better.

My brother Alex became a dad at 16. While others were living their blowout years, he was stepping up. For years, he wasn’t allowed to see his son. He had to watch from the sidelines as another man was called "dad." That pain? It never really leaves. But he fought. After long court battles and endless frustration, he got his time back—and it changed everything.

We share these stories because we know there are millions of other men out there holding it all in. Getting on with it. Drowning in silence. And too often, that silence kills.

What is MMHM?

MMHM — Men’s Mental Health Matters,  isn’t just a clothing brand. It’s a movement. A statement. A middle finger to stigma. A reminder to speak up, open up, and back each other.

Why We Created This Brand

We created MMHM for men who’ve been kicked down, cut off, and told to "man up." For men who’ve lost their kids, lost their minds, or just feel like they’re losing the plot. You’re not alone. And you never have to be.
